Dull Kirk Dig

A short video record of an archaeological dig at Dull in Highland Perthshire, looking for the site of an eighth century monastery.

Bob Will of Glasgow University Archaeological Research Division says the site has a long history. There were records of Saint Adamnan dedicating a monastery in the area and they now thought they had found the location of some of the buildings under the floor of an existing church.

The film is illustrated with many shots of the main trench and some of the significant finds, including many human bones. This video recording lasts 7 minutes and 13 seconds.
